Passengers originating their flights from Accra, Ghana, will now be able to connect Turkish Airlines flights in Istanbul to the Australian city of Melbourne, effective March 15, 2024.

This follows an announcement by the Istanbul-based airline of three reciprocal flights per week between Istanbul and Melbourne, with a stop in Singapore effective mid-March.

Turkish Airlines, which flies to 345 destinations in 129 countries, will operate the Istanbul - Melbourne leg on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, AviationGhana.com can confirm.

The return journey, Melbourne- Istanbul, will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of Turkish Airlines, noted that: "We are excited to add Melbourne as our 346th destination to our flight network. Australia, with its natural beauty and hospitable people, becomes the 130th country and sixth continent under our wings."
