THE BEST gospel albums these days seem to come from the Western Region, and the most recent one which is selling fast and is being blasted on the airwaves and music shops is no different as it is by a popular man of God based in Prestea.

Young, energetic , founder and senior pastor of Better Life Chapel at Prestea in the Western Region has touched the heart and spirit of music lovers with his second album 'Gye Me So', which is selling like hot cake in all music shops throughout Ghana.

Having officially launched the eight-track album with pomp and pageantry in the old gold-mining town of Prestea recently, Pastor Akoto told BEATWAVES that his melodious songs have a message for politicians to pray for God's intervention in the country's economic turn down.

His song makes it explicitly clear that human wisdom or effort to solve problems was synonymous to chasing after the wind and that in all things we should not be anxious but rather depend absolutely on the Lord for results.

The sensational album focuses more on unbelievers, admonishing them to turn from their wicked ways and allow Christ, the giver of life and peace, to dwell in them.

Other inspirational and soul-touching songs on the album include 'Me hia wo', 'Okyeso Nyame', 'Tetebotan Nyame', 'Fa wo ho bo Yesu', 'Ma onfir sor mbra' and 'Me ye wodze and bisa'.

As to the public response to the album, Rev. Akoto said every one who listens to the album runs for a copy and advertises it to other neighbours. He disclosed that his debut album 'Israel Nyame', which also comprised of eight songs, was launched about five years ago.

“I started singing at seven at the Fountain of Life Church in Prestea after realizing that God had endowed me with a gift which I hope to use as a means of preaching the gospel to the lost sheep”, he said.

He explained that he composed most of his songs through dreams and prayers, and prevailed upon gospel music lovers to buy songs that would ginger their spirit and expound the gospel.

According to Rev. Akoto, he preaches at meetings, seminars and miracle crusades of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship. He added that whoever misses Christ misses all.

Adjei Boadi in Accra, Pat Thomas in Kumasi, Abeiku Container in Takoradi and all leading musical shops in the country are among the major distributing channels of his Rev. Akoto's albums.
