One of Ghana's top music promoters, Alordia, CEO of Alordia Promotions and Ghana Music Awards UK, believes the time is not right for Ghanaian singers to fill London's iconic O2 Arena.

In an interview with Accra-based JoyPrime TV, Alordia was asked about the possibility of Ghanaian artists King Promise or Black Sherif filling the 20,000 capacity O2 Arena.

While he acknowledged King Promise's ability to attract large audiences, he didn't think Black Sherif was ready yet.

"Now as we speak, Black Sherif, no, King Promise can even get more crowd in London than Black Sherif right now," said Alordia.

According to him, it doesn't mean he hates any singer but for the good of the entire industry.

The music promoter further cautioned against premature attempt to fill the arena, noting that failure would make the Ghanaian music industry a laughing stock to their Nigerian counterparts who frequently fill it.

“Sometimes when you talk about it, people will say you hate them, or you don't like our artists. We love them but I will never go there and it won't be filled up and people will say 'Look at the Ghanaians, they can not do it'.

"We have to wait for the right time to hit that nail," he stated.
