Everyone I’ve helped has repaid my good deeds with evil — Kwaku Manu

Veteran Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has expressed his frustrations over the lack of appreciation shown by people he has helped in the movie industry.

Speaking to GTV's The Spectacle on Friday, April 19, the celebrated actor said none of the numerous individuals he has lent a helping hand to over the years have acknowledged his good deeds.

"I can't recall anybody that I have helped that has shown gratitude for my good deeds. I can count 10 people off head who repaid my kindness with evil," Manu told host Hagar Owusu as quoted by GBC Online.

According to him, despite going out of his way to assist budding talents and his colleagues over the years, none have recognized his efforts.

“I have helped many people in the industry. Even though they repay my good deeds with evil, I still continue to help them," the 40-year-old actor said.

Kwaku Manu revealed he has since learnt some hard lessons from his experiences.

“I've learned from this experience over the years so l always advise people not to accommodate the people they want to help because they might turn their back against them," he stressed.

The veteran of over 150 movies called on industry players and the general public to cultivate an attitude of showing appreciation for acts of goodwill.
