Spiritualist Kwabena Asiamah, popularly known as Ajagurajah, has cautioned women regarding the use of wigs and hair extensions sourced from women in other countries, particularly India.

During an interview on Hitz FM, Ajagurajah asserted that there are spiritual implications with the extraction of hair from women in other countries, especially India.

He claims the process of cutting hair in these cultures goes through rituals, and using such hair extensions or wigs only invites negativity.

Ajagurajah attributed the popularity of foreign hair products among Africans to a lack of appreciation for their natural hair.

“If you’re the type to go for Indian hair, you are putting bad luck on yourself. Indian women hardly cut their hair.

“They only do that when there’s something wrong. When the priests cut the hair of these women in India, they transfer all those problems into the hair.

“But they know the African mindset; they know we like hair from other countries, and we go for it,” he said.

In light of these beliefs, Ajagurajah urged women to embrace and appreciate their natural hair, advising against the use of extensions and wigs made from hair obtained from foreign sources.
