The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) is forecasting pockets of rain or thunder on Ghana's west coast this morning.

In its 24-hour forecast issued early on Wednesday morning, May 15, GMet predicts "the west coast is likely to have pockets of rain or thunder this morning."

Cities along the coast like Takoradi and Cape Coast can expect cloudy conditions with a 30-40% chance of thunderstorms and rain between 6-9AM.

"Most places will be partly cloudy this morning with misty conditions over few areas within the forest and transition zones in the early hours," notes the forecast signed by GMet duty forecaster Rebecca Bediako.

The rain is expected to clear up by the afternoon as sunny weather with some periodic clouds dominates from noon onwards.

However, later in the day isolated thunderstorms could develop over parts of the middle sector according to GMet.
